Sitters Service started right after the end of World War II over 50+ years ago. In 1946 Shirley Upton a mother and entrepreneur purchased the startup with a dream to expand and serve the community. As a mother Shirley understood the need for reliable and trustworthy "baby sitters" in growing community of working parents.

Over the last 40+ years, Shirley served the community providing Childcare Providers to her customers.

Sitters Service continued its growth under Shirley's careful watch and her one-on-one personal service. In 2004, Shirley met Sheri Cannon Dasgupta, a thirtysomething energetic heathcare administrator with decades of Childcare experience.

Sheri's enthusiasm for the Childcare and Nanny Placement service soon paved the way for Shirley's retirement.

Sheri purchased the company in 2004 and continue to grow it by expanding the services with her personal attention to details.

We start by asking you to complete an application and create a "profile". Once you are registered, our team will find the right Childcare Provider from our database that best fits your need. We will set up a series of interviews if necessary to find the right Provider for you and answer question or concerns you may have.
